Benedict XVI meets with priests from Rome

YoutubeFebruary 14, 2013. (Romereports.com) In what had become a tradition, the Thursday following Ash Wednesday, the Pope met with the priests from the Diocese of Rome.?

But on this occasion, the meeting took on special significance because when stepping down as Pope, Benedict XVI will no longer be Bishop of Rome either. This became his last meeting with the Roman priests. ??

Before entering Paul VI Hall, Vicar General Agostino Vallini greeted the Pope and walked him inside, while the Roman priests clapped and sang for the hymn ?Tu est Petrus.??

?Thank you for your affection, for your love for the Church and for the Pope.??

During the meeting, the Pope will share several of his memories on the Second Vatican Council.
