SUNDERLAND, England (AP) -Premier League side Sunderland has signed winger Adam Johnson from Manchester City on a four-year contract on Friday.
Johnson scored 11 goals in 73 appearances for City but has been increasingly sidelined by the English champion.
He says "It feels fantastic (to be here) ... It's great to have signed and it's a fresh start."
Johnson is Sunderland's fourth signing this summer striker Steven Fletcher from Wolverhampton Wanderers, defender Carlos Cuellar (Aston Villa) and Louis Saha (Tottenham).
