Jordan Thomson of the Kamloops Blazers was one of 42 players invited to the national under-18 men's selection camp, held from July 25 to July 29 at the Mastercard Centre in Toronto.
He is one of 14 defencemen trying to crack the Canadian team heading to the Ivan Hlinka tournament, which runs from Aug. 5 to Aug. 10 in Slovakia and the Czech Republic.
Thomson played in 47 regular-season games with the Blazers last season, notching two goals and 14 points.
