Purpose of Role
Day to day management of direct to consumer stores, maintaining and maximizing
Key deliverables:
Product Management
Daily sales and inventory reporting
Checks newly launched stores for consistency and accuracy
Manages inventory and stock replenishment
Ensures tools and reports are effective, provided on a timely basis and subject to rigorous standards
Sales analysis - distinguishes which products are and aren't working, sale pricing, email blasts, store optimization,
Tracks customer feedback & customer service concerns, passing on pertinent info to relevant depts. within organization
Works with Marketing Managers and Merch team to strategize and develop consistent high volume sales activity through life of projects
Identifies and develops new product ideas and additions based on current analytics, customer feedback, market conditions, and audio project cycles (where applicable)
Store takedowns
Manage PRF process and item setup for store products. Assist staff with process where applicable
Works with Merch procurement team to track routing of sample products and finished goods for final approvals
Works as part of a team to identify and deliver continued overall growth in this space
Direct to Consumer
Develop, maintain and archive all D2C product activity and files on the shared drive, MedWare, etc
Demonstrate EMI success in the D2C space by providing regular project status and wrap up reports
Balanced Relationships
Maintain commitment to continuous process improvement: efficiency and effectiveness
Develop and maintain strong relationships with all levels of the assigned accounts in order to implement EMI objectives
Maintain and improve profitability
Enforce policies and practices balancing customer needs with EMI priorities
Develop and maintain cooperative relationships with other functional areas of EMI
Internal Standards
Meet high-level/maximum customer service requirements within the organization
Ensure adherence to internal standards and best practices
Maintain commitment to continuous process improvement
Teamwork & Leadership
Work closely with Sales and EMI Labels to ensure products developed are in line with market and customer requirements
Facilitate communication between home office, Merch Direct, and satellite label teams (CMG, Cap Nash, etc.)
Work with procurement and 3rd party suppliers on product creation, sourcing, pricing, purchasing and stock transfers
Coordinate production time frames and delivery dates to align with customer requirements
Other Specific Requirements:
Bachelors degree or related educational or professional background strongly preferred
3-5 years related experience in product management, online content management systems, web development applications and online marketing
3-5 years experience and proven success in managing direct-to-consumer entertainment e-commerce store
Strong day-to-day knowledge of HTML & Photoshop
Strong understanding and experience with web metrics and analytics tools
Basic understanding of search engine optimization and meta data content
Talent and expertise in effective online consumer merchandising
Excellent written, verbal & electronic communication & etiquette skills
Ability to work in a fast paced environment with minimal day-to-day supervision
Love, respect and appreciate music, artists, the web & technology
Must be extremely organized and self-motivated
PC Proficient especially all Microsoft office products
Extensive knowledge of music and music/entertainment business
